FairyLoot - Love at First Bite October 2019

About Fairyloot and my journey as a subscriber…

FairyLoot is a monthly subscription box based in the UK run by a small yet passionate team. The boxes focus solely on fantasy novels with a different theme each month. The boxes includes 5-6 carefully selected goodies along with a Young Adult or Young Adult crossover book.

I have been subscribed to FairyLoot since 2017 and my first ever box was their one year anniversary box. I remember opening that box and falling in love with it immediately. Over the years I’ve subscribed to other boxes provided by different companies and none have compared to the service that FairyLoot provides. I went from receiving three subscription boxes to just FairyLoot because, in my eyes, nothing can compare to the care and passion that is put into their monthly boxes.

The customer service that is provided by them is above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced and that is just the tip of what FairyLoot provides. Each month you can read along the book of the month with one of the members of the team and can discuss the chapters on their community page with other subscribers. It honestly makes you feel like part of a family and I love it. I’ve only ever participated in one read along but that’s simply because some days I can’t fit in reading a certain amount of chapters or I simply read way too far ahead and finish the book in one day! I loved being able to talk to people about the book and hearing other peoples opinions about the book.

Now, let’s get to the October 2019 box… Please be aware that from here there may be spoilers if you have not yet received your box!

Items included in this month's box

  • A bat enamel pin designed by @taratjah

  • A Twilight inspired vinyl sticker which was designed by @catarinabookdesigns

  • The two tarot cards for this month are based on the Shatter Me series by Thahereh Mafi and were designed by @loweana.art

  • A gorgeous vampire art print by @monolimeart

  • A beautiful set of gothic vampire coasters which were designed by @blanca.design

  • A Dracula inspired booksleeve which is most definitely my favourite item in the box with a waterproof lining and zip to keep your books protected. The vampire-tastic design was done by @noverantale.

  • A vampire inspired beanie designed by @kdpletters

  • A stunning candle by @themeltinglibrary and is inspired by Interview With A Vampire by Anne Rice. The name of the candle is a quote from the book with the rest of the quote on a dust cover inside the jar.

  • The Book of the month is The Beautiful by Renee Ahdieh and it is absolutely stunning. This exclusive edition has sprayed edges, artwork on the reverse of the dust jacket by @merwildandco and is also signed by Renee. It also came with a map of New Orleans and an author letter with artwork by @kat_adara.

My thoughts on this month’s box…

I absolutely loved this box and I am completely blown away by how much hard work and dedication is put into this box.

I was lucky enough to read an arc of The Beautiful and now I'm estatic to have a stunning physical copy!

The booksleeve is just beyond gorgeous and I cannot wait to use it, knowning that my books are going to be so well protected! When I first received my box my booksleeve was so faded that I ended up reaching out to FairyLoot to see if they could send out a replacement which they did rather swiftly. FairyLoot's customer service is perfect and the team are just absolutely lovely!

Overall, this was a fantastic box. I love every item in this box. Kudos to FairyLoot for knocking it out of the park once again.
